Headline failures on the S58 3.0L twin-turbo I6 (G80/G82/F97/F98 M, 2019+)
The S58 is the M-variant of the B58 architecture, not an N55 derivative. The S58’s failure modes are similar to the S55 (crank-hub concerns, though less common) plus the B58’s VANOS solenoid clogging and charge-pipe boost-leak. Per-cylinder misfires (P0301–P0306) should be inspected against the S58-specific DID table in the engine profile.
