What the IBO controls
Cabin climate, body electronics, light control, and the CBS counters that aren’t on the DME or KOMBI. The IBO holds cabin-filter and spark-plug CBS state on F-series.
Target address
0x60 (96 decimal) on F-series UDS. Note: this is the same address as KOMBI on E-series; on F-series the address space shifted, and the IBO took over the body-domain role.
CBS counters on the IBO
Cabin filter, spark plugs. These reset via the IBO, not the KOMBI.
IBO vs BDC
The BDC (Body Domain Controller) is the G-series spiritual successor to the IBO. Same responsibilities, different firmware. On F-series LCI and G-series, the IBO role moved to the BDC.
Beemuu support
Beemuu’s F-series profiles include the IBO as a probe target. The CBS reset routines for cabin filter and spark plugs target the IBO on F-series and the BDC on G-series.
